One of the most recognized application teams in the superyacht industry, Pinmar’s finishing division has become one of the leading applicators on large yachts for many shipyards and builders throughout the USA, Mediterranean and Europe. The most recent example of this expertise is the successful refit of the 86m (282’) superyacht, Ecstasea, at Nobiskrug Shipyard in Rendsburg, Germany.
Originally launched by Feadship in 2004, M/Y Ecstasea was a technological marvel of its time and still remains highly relevant and respected after 12 years of service. Featuring multiple helipads, a wealth of tender and water toy storage, and many other extravagant accommodations throughout her three-plus decks, the massive proportions of Ecstasea presented no small challenge to the Pinmar application team.
Group CEO of Pinmar’s parent company, Global Yachting Group, Rupert Savage explained there are many fine examples of ALEXSEAL projects navigating Europe thanks to their efforts, “Captains talk to one another and learn that ALEXSEAL is a wellrespected paint brand with excellent results. So, many more yachts are making the decision to use ALEXSEAL. We enjoy working with the products and now have a lot of experience applying them. We have always enjoyed excellent support and service from ALEXSEAL, particularly the great technical support provided by Max Goncalves and Thomas Schultz.”
