Although only a two-year veteran of the yacht paint industry, the new technology that Alexseal prides itself on seems to be a hit, according to rave reviews it’s received from clients. Its parent company, German paint manufacturer, Mankiewicz, is a 100 year veteran of the paint industry and has developed technologically advanced products to protect machinery, automobile interiors and wide-body commercial airliners. Two years ago, the company branched out into the marine world with the development of Alexseal, incorporating the latest resin and UV filter technology in its formulas. The product is specifically designed for fiberglass, steel and aluminum yachts. The company claims that its product requires fewer steps, fewer coats for full coverage and is durable and repairable.
